What else can I say... the weather was beautiful; the evenings were filled with family laughing and telling stories and listening to the childrens' giggles. Friday and Saturday night was story telling time and I got to share my stories with my Grandbabies and they, in turn, told me theirs. By the time the last story finished, the kids were asleep but still knowing that the next day would hold another fun adventure for them and another relaxing day at camp for m...

There was something for everyone to do; even the kids got to get in on some motorcycle action... Madison and Colin, Jr enjoyed a ride with Dan and Colin while the rest of the gang continued to take advantage of the water toys... kayaks, jet ski, boat and floats. Each evening we had a campfire and roasted marshmallows, watched the sun set and star gazed until time for bed. The peaceful sounds of the forest and lake made a perfect ending for each day.

After a day of boating, everyone settled in for a quiet evening. We had four other families also camping near us and several other family members and friends visiting. It was incredibly unusual that we had the lake to ourselves -or it seemed we did except for an ocassional fisherman and the campers from on around the cove from us. Thursday, the main road to the lake was closed for a bike race from 6am to 6pm so entrance into the camp was limited.

Dan's brother,Tim brought his toys to the lake for everyone to play with. We all enjoyed taking the boat out; even Colin, Jr got to take it out for a spin...with Grandpa's help.
