Originally built in 1608, the church was rebuilt in barque style from 1719-1728. In the 1840's, it ceased to have a religious function. In 1994, the Museo de Arte Religioso opened on the site. The old monastery serves as a children's theataer. Some of the best classical music concerts are held here.
