We have arrived in Buenos Aires, and man is it good to be here!!! The feeling of arrival in BA is very much like turning up in Sydney after 10 weeks in South East Asia. I think Nil and I had gotten back into the groove of horrible toilets, suspect food and generally being a bit skanky. Here it´s suddenly sophisticated dining, French architecture and hot showers. If Parisians spoke Spanish, this is what it´d be like! I´m beggining to feel better after a week of not really eating anything. The steak in the picture above is the first full meal I´ve had since Santa Cruz. It´s bloody good steak here too (with an emphasis on the word bloody - they´re not really into well-done meat here). Nil´s pretty much said that this is the best city we´ve visited so far (while grinning happily at a massive glass of red). It certainly feels like it´s up there with the best of them, although I´m not sure if it´s THE best, and mum, the steaks aren´t as good as yours, but they are great. Anyway, only 15 days left until we come home, and although BA is awesome, I think we´re both getting to that stage where being ill and living out of a bag is getting tiring. Hope all is well at home. We´ve been on the computer for about 3 1/2 hours uploading all our photos from Bolivia to today´s, so I´m going to keep this short. I LOVE BA! It´s like a Paris where everyone speaks Spanish and the wine and steaks are like gifts from God. You can´t get better than that. This places ouses culture and sophistication, and because we´ve been living out of a bag and just been on another 24 hour bus I don´t think we exactly fit in. Never mind though, I´m sure the steaks aren´t going to mind if I´m wearing fancy shoes or not. Ooooo, just got to say that coffee lovers should come here, the coffee is incredible. I almost cried with happiness when I first tried my cortado (espresso with a dash of milk). Let us know what you think of the photos, we had great fun taking them on the salt pans.
