It is with some sadness but many amazing memories that I sign off the last of my journal entries for our trip around South America.

Over the last 6 months we have: iceclimbed in Patagonia, surfed and sandboarded in Brazil, rode horses through Colombian jungles and Ecuadorian highlands, Scuba dived the carribean coast, whitewater rafted rapids in Argentina, mountain/jungle trekked in Peru, swam with pink dolphins and alligators in Bolivian Amazon, snowboarded in Chilean skislopes and just about everything inbetween!

I feel very lucky to have experienced the diversity of culture we have encountered on our travels and highly reccomend South America to anyone thinking of going...it is not all smooth sailing ( particularly as a backpacker) but the rewards far outweigh the challenges!!

Thank you to my beautiful travel partner and recent-fiancee , Nicki who has endured many of my eccentric mood swings ( as I have hers) and has duly fed me with large slabs of steak on each such occasion.
