Only a 2.5 hour drive to San Antonio and we were greeted by a temperature of 38 degrees outside the van. We spent the day looking around New Orleans and enjoying watching mass crowds of people (men included) wearing red dresses, taking part in an annual 'run'. I say run, but really its one big red party that people from all round the States travel miles for. The supposed 5 hour drive to West Virgina (also known as the mountain state) ended up taking 9 hours. The state has the largest sycamore tree in the world, and is famous for its golden delicious apples, and the movie 'Patch Adams'. Fun facts i thought! It was an early start this morning as we needed to hit the road in good time to make the 5 hour journey to West Virginia.
