Leaving Rome behind and heading back up Italy to Pisa where we spent the afternoon - saw the leaning tower & took the usual tourist pictures propping it up! After lunch, got back on train to get to our hostel in Florence, this time we're staying in another campsite in a tent (but has proper beds & wood flooring so i cant realy claim to be camping!) It's overlooking Florence in an olive tree area, beautiful views.
Florence has unfortunately been mostly a wash out though - literally! Been alternating between brilliant sunshine and intense rain storms, i can see my brief tan fading before my eyes! Wanted to do a wine tour to Chianti region but it was raining so hard in morning we scrapped that plan. Just been wandering around Florence in the day, spent a couple evenings at campsite bar & met a group of 3 brazilians who we went out with into Florence for few drinks & gelato in the eveing.
