Just a quick entry from Byron Bay! I uploaded the rest of the pictures from Noosa (more Australia Zoo ones, check them out, they're fab!) and Brisbane. For some reason the computer didn't add them all last time!

After leaving Brisbane (spent 5 nights there and loved it, despite hearing very mixed reports from other travellers we met!) Kathryn, Zoe and I headed for Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. We stayed in another apartment-style hostel and had a lot of fun with our new apartment-mates, including a Dutch guy and Brazilian. We also had a lot of other people in the apartment all the time from other apartments...think our one was the place to be! I have been in Surfers twice before and really like it so it was a bit of a disappointment that it rained most of the time we were there...not good! We did manage to hit the beach on one of the days though. We ended up spending 3 nights at our hostel and then left on Saturday for Byron Bay (it's a really popular place to stay so we had to wait until Saturday to get accommodation).

Byron Bay is absolutely beautiful...although the weather was awful when we first arrived so didn't fully appreciate it until the next morning! We girls had a great night out on Saturday night for Valentines Day...got all dressed up and headed out to a bar. The next morning Zoe and I got up early and took advantage of the sunshine, which had arrived at last! We walked up to the lighthouse in the picture and saw some great views of the coast. The walk was pretty hard-going, especially when I haven't done much in the way of exercise in the last 5 months! After an hour of walking it was definitely worth it though. We walked along the beach afterwards and then chilled in the grounds of our hostel in the afternoon. The hostel (Arts Factory) is a fun, chilled out place, we have to leave tomorrow for another hostel though (not very organised at booking ahead!). Last night we planned to stay in but we ended up meeting a group of Aussie guys who were a lot of fun! Today has been a beautiful day again so I lay on the beach all morning while Zoe and Kathryn went scuba diving.

Two more nights in Byron and then it's off to Sydney for 9 days to have an A Team reunion, we're all excited about it! Will add some Byron Bay pictures when I leave so everyone can appreciate how pretty it is!
