So here I am in a Travelodge near Gatwick airport, watching crappy TV and eating food. Our flight left at 18.15 this evening which was nice as it gave me all day to sort my stuff out. And good job too as I could barely fit anything I wanted to take in my giant rucksack! And I thought 55 litres would be enough...

Saying goodbye at Guernsey airport wasn't as hard as I thought it was be but I think it's because it doesn't feel like i'm going very far yet as I'm only in England and i've done that plenty of times before. When I have to get the international flight tomorrow will probably be when it hits me.

I just skyped Benji which was nice :o) He gave me a bear to take with me to keep my company and it's working already :o) I can't WAIT to see him in New York in March - it will be the highlight of my trip!

Marion is in the bath at the moment but I don't think it will be long until we go to bed - i'm so tired!

Ah, she's out now and in her nightie so I think she's tired too!!

Next time I write I will probably be in New Zealand and hopefully not too home sick.
