So this is our second stop on a very quick visit to Malaysia, too quick for our liking, although with the lack of beer Aarons dying to get out quickly I think, but he has found a way around the drinking problem and has started to drink Whiskey, which is never a good thing to have to admit! We stayed with Lydia and Bobby because they have a flight from Singapore the same day as us so they're in most of the pictures, incase your wondering if were just following these people around!
On wondering around the city it is so built up, lots or wonderful skyscrapers and trains and buses to make it that bit easier for us to travell around. The best way to do these types of places though is by foot, so we set off after a quick nap because we got in at about 6am off a bus (which by the way was sheer luxuary for us the seat reclined and this cute little foot rest popped out to prop your feet up for you, every traveller we have met dotes on valium for these journeys so we got some and popped a pill each to knock us out a little, I got a prod from Aaron asking for a second one which I handed over and unfortunately for him we arrived about 30 minutes later just as it was kicking in! This should also be an olympic game, who can stay awake after popping a valium! (dont worry parents they're the weakest mg you can get). So off we went the famous four and hot footed it around, we had a chinese for breakfast in China town and stumbled into an AA meeting gone wrong next door to our guest house, and stayed for a drink with the locals, who were drinking something that tasted and smelt like Soy sauce, think some one had been playing with them really which seems mean! We purchased some whiskey and coke and got ready for a night on the tiles! Seemed wrong not too in KL. We went to a bar and Aaron met a friend for life, he had a tattoo on his arm of Everton and turned out to be a scouser who hadn't been home in 6 years and was living in Canada working as a Policeman, and he was a very nice bloke indeed, gave me some words of wisdom, which I forgot but remebered thinking that they were very good at the time! We broke a cordenal rule this night and paid a visit to Ronald MacDonald for some burgers at 3am, we gave the statue some whiskey and he started pulling silly faces, seems strange the things you find funny at 3am after a lot of whiskey and coke. Then we went to the internet and stayed there until 6am, talking to Paul about football, I was too scared to walk home by myself becuse there were some of the soy sauce induced people walking around shouting stuff!
We all got up the next day after sending Aaron out at 9am to get tickets for the Petronas Towers (fourth highest in the world) this was punishment for keeping us up until 6am, our slot was for 2pm which just gave us enough time for a quick pastry for breaky and a taxi ride to get there. You cant actually go all the way to the top but there is a walkway linking the two towers about a 3rd of the way up, this was more than enough for Aaron who got extremely sweaty feet (anyone else in the Jones or Shimmin party get this?) due to the height even though we were totally incased in a huge tube, the views were great, we caught a nice clear day to go up which is good! After another cheap off the street meal and some very hard barganing but cheap shopping we headed off to catch the late bus to Singapore, fingers crossed for leg propper-uppers on this bus!
