Spent yesterday in Guillin waiting to take evening sleeper train to Shenzhen (just ouside of Hong Kong). Paul and I had a slap up meal as lost the will to live with hunger, rain and boredom...ended up spending 3 times as much as we normally wood but eevn then that was only about 7quid!!! On the sleeper trains they have lights off at about 10 so we all vacated to the dining cart for a beer and banter and this morning our train was delayed getting in by 2hours whcih wasn't a prob for us three non hong Kong-ers but left the others with not much time at all as immigration takes a long time.

We managed to navigate ourselves from the city train station to our hotel next to the city airport. We were expecting a posh (chinese posh) hotel as it's called the Vienna Hotel. Well the hotel is nice...really big beds...i have a double as all single rooms come with a double BUT the hotel is in the middle of a ghetto...no western people in sight AT ALL!!! We were all in desperate need of a good laundry session but the service is closed today so both our rooms resemble chinese laundrys ha ha...get it!!?? I just hope that with all this damp, humid weather that all my clothes are dry for tomorrow as we have an internal flight further south.

Earlier on we ventured out across the crazy dual carriage way to the airport where we had a moment of western weakness and had a maccy d's and a starbucks oooppps!! Im just sat in the 'business' centre of the hotel now, warding off mozies...b***** these things. Apparantly on the next part of this tour there are more flies and bugs...watch this space!!!!

P.S the lovely Goodie, Gaby, Ben, Nic and Paul have left us now but tomo i meet my new roomy....a brit girl in her twenties.
