After a good nights sleep and a decent breakfast, Barbara and I had a quick stroll around the town then checked out. We sat in the hotel bar until just before 13:00 when we went to the port. We joined the priority queue after having been questioned at length by Border Security, who asked me questions about the Chilean and Canadian stamps in my passport. We finally boarded around half past, dropped our bags off in the cabin and went to lunch in Alexandria.
When we got back to the cabin, some bags were there and as we were unpacking the rest arrived. At 18:00 we all met up on the top deck for a prossecco sail away and to watch the fireworks. The captain announced that it was going to be windy with choppy seas until Madeira on Sunday. Then it was down to dinner and finally a quiz. We lost!
We’re on a cruise!
