Well a different destination for us, we decided to leave hue and head northwards to hanoi. The plan to go to Laos for the next couple of days seemed a great idea but in fairness this was too short a time to do the country justice.

So we caught the train here from hue sharing our 4bed cabin with 5 other vietnamese people...First there was two (sons) then alone came Mum then 10 mins later Dad and finally good olde Granny, our cabin turned into their own home. Smelling food, the slurpping of noodles and listening to their tonal language made michelle and I duck to the safety of our sleeping bags.. "Get the train and meet the locals" the LP said.. yep we did and much to the amusement of the tour party in the rest of our car! At least we came thru unscathed, just trying to convince ourselves that we havent got nits or bed bugs as our lovely vietnamese family made good use of tops bunks since Saigon!!
