Sun 1st - Fri 6th June (Week 37)Sun 1st - Left our Kuta hotel at 7:15am and got the shuttle bus back up to Bangsal harbour. Usual mess with what we'd been told and what actually happened. We were told we'd be on the 10am boat to Gili Meno, but when we arrived at 9:30 we were then told it would be 11:30. Tues 27th - Sat 31st May (Week 36)Tues 27th - Took the shuttle bus transfer at 10:30 down to Kuta in the South of Lombok. The 1st minivan which took us to Mataram was the most clapped out vehicle I have ever seen - shredded seats, rusty and holey floor, and our rucksacks tied on the roof with a bit of string ! Sat 24th - Mon 26th May (Week 36)Sat 24th - Got our pickup for the ferry at 8:30 and got on the 40-seater fast boat with 38 French people ! We've been amazed at the % of French tourists compared to other nationalities in Bali - so much so that signs and brochures etc are in English and French - no other languages, and almost all other tourists we've seen speak French ! Tues 20th - Fri 23rd May (Week 35)Tues 20th - Spent the morning using the wifi, packing, and popped out for a mid-morning porridge as have really missed that - although found it a little hot and humid to be eating such hot food ! Sat 17th - Mon 19th May (Week 35)Sat 17th - Spent the morning catching up on wifi etc after not really having any in Munduk, then headed out for lunch. Found a lovely little place, colonial feel with old typewriters and TVs etc, and had a great tapas-style Indonesian lunch, and a slice of the most amazing carrot cake we have ever tasted !
