Spent one day in Byron Bay on my way down the east coast. The journey was awful and saw some the the destruction caused by the bad weather of the last few days. But the next day in Byron was lovely and sunny, although a bit chilly! Could spot all the brits in their summer clothes and the guys sporting their bear white chests with beer in hand. Almost enough to make me miss a British summer! I spent the day chilling on the beach, people watching and watching all the surfers enjoying the massive waves the bad weather had bought. I also walked to the Lighthouse and the most easternly point in mainland OZ.
