As I write this I have just over 3 weeks to go until I leave for Australia. I can't quite believe I am nearly there. I've just watched the footage of the guys arriving in second place in to Sydney with a tear in my eye. It's going to be quite emotional just seeing them again let alone racing the boat! They've done so well and I want to do them proud. The daily blogs from the boat have kept me up to date with all their exploits and how much hard and at times dangerous work it can be. Proud is an understatement.
I've done my '1st pack' of kit to see how much room I have left in my bag…none! May have to relook at the pants and sock situation to fit all the vital stuff in. Pants and socks are of course vital but not as much as foulies and boots!
While the team are celebrating Christmas down under I'm finishing the last bits of organisation - visas, cash and making lists to remind the boys to keep the house clean.
My personal circumstances have changed somewhat over the last month so a trip away is just what I need, whether I'll be thinking that in 50ft waves remains to be seen. I do know however how much I enjoy being with the guys I've met and that they'll be a great support to me as I will for them. We are TEAM x
Australia and the oceans of the world, here I come!

Lor You are and it will be amazing...however, after our conversation today I would just like to reiterate; DO NOT fall in, break yourself, swing off of a mast , lose your precious pants, eat something nasty or pop off whilst you are sailing the worlds oceans!! ....much love your most very jealous friend!!
