Hi Everyone!!!

I am in Zanzibar and it is great!!! White sand and clear sea! Just had a game of volley ball on the beach!!!

Anyway thought my last post was a bit vauge so have my journal with me so I can write a bit about what I have done!!

Okay arrived in Nairobi and met up with the people on the tour drove to the Masi Mara in safari vans and spent two days on Safari! Saw Elephants Hippos Crocs Cheetah Lion Zebra Vultures Warthog Buffaloo and Gazelle oh and Giraffe and a stack of birds which I do not know the names off! We got a flat tyre at the end of one day and our driver got fined as we got out of the truck!! (apparently it is dangerous! But I have seen the lion king and the animals are lovely really - plus what animals is going to eat a vege)

Anyway the next two days were spent in the serengeti which I did not think was as good as the Masi Mara but I did see a Rhino so completed the BIG 5!! Plus I took a balloon flight over the serengeti ar sunrise which was awesome!! We also had a champagne breakfast in the serengeti which was superb!!! Whilst in the Serengeti we spent a night camping in an unfenced area which was scary!! Luckily only a giraffe wondered into camp!

The next night we camped on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater - if you get a chance look it up on the internet it was the most amazing scenery! That night a warthog woke me up chomping grass by my tent!!

We then moved onto Dar Es Salaam which was a bit of a hole but the camp site was on a beach so we had a really good night! Loads of other overlanders there so there was an all night drinking comp!! We won!

From Dar we travelled by ferry to Stone Town in Zanzibar which was pretty but it RAINED RAINED AND RAINED!!! This morning I went on the Island Spice Tour where it rained some more but I got to eat a some exotic fruit straight from the tree! Lush! From the Spice Tour we came to the Northern part of Zanzibar where it is boiling! We have ditched the tents and are sleeping in rooms! with showers and toilets! This to me is bliss! The beach is two steps from our room and is white sand and the sea is warm!! Its like a holiday in a holiday! I am now off to dinner and to get a cocktail!

We are having a party tomorrow as it is two of the girls birthday! So I will have my first hangover in Africa!! I am also hoping for a lie in as we have been getting up around 5am!! Ouch!!!!
