Now we are in Washington D.C. ! It's so exciting to be in a state of politics. To kick off this hard, hot day, we woke up and got breakfast down at the hotel lobby. After, we hopped onto the bus, and we headed to the Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Martin Luther King Jr. memorials. We went through all of the parts of it, reflecting on the history and having little lessons here and there. This was very interesting to see because we didnt just go through the memorial...

The city of brotherly love, Philadelphia!!! We didn't even stay in Philly, but the day we had here was so fun. Right off the bat, we got up and drove to Pennsylvania, which was about a two hour drive from the hotel. I slept the whole way there! When we got there, the Oklahoma group got out of the bus and walked to the love statue, which was right in front of a beautiful fountain. We got to take lots of cute pictures and felt the breeze and most from the fountain....

To think on day 1 I liked New York, by now I have fallen in love with it! It truly is a gorgeous, enormous city. Right off the bat, we woke up and hopped on the bus to New York. When we got there, we took a fairy to Ellis island to see the Statue of Liberty herself! That was actually my first time being in a fairy boat, and it was awesome! Finally! Today marked the official first day of the trip!! I was ecstatic and with high expectations, and they were met! My group and I went down to the hotel lobby to eat some breakfast and head to our first destination, which was the Boston Common! We walked around, looking like stereotypical tourists.
