So I decided to move onto the seaside town of Alicante for a few days to relax and recharge. On the train to Alicante the two conductors kept trying to talk to me in Spanish even after my trying to explain to them in English and Spanish that I couldn't understand. They seemed happy to just keep talking to me without any response so I let them. It was rather amusing. After arriving on the train in the late afternoon I spent an hour or so soaking up the last light of the day on the beach which was where you would have found me again for a few hours the next day as well.So after a hard mornings work on the beach for lunch I had the fixed price menu at a restaurant. I had Paella, grilled tuna steak and baked apple which was all so good. After a walk around the pier later on I had a picnic on the beach watching the sunset over Castilla Santa Barbara up on the hill. For the two nights that I was there I had a private room in a hotel which was a nice break and it even had a small bath at the base of the shower so I was able to enjoy a nice, alas cramped bath that night.
