We've been following the great 'trek' while we are in Cyprus, it all sounds super. Your pics are very interesting-we've been showing them to Bob and Ann. Bet you had some tired leg muscles after walking a big chunk of the wall. How nice that you could visit your guide's home and family and get a glimpse of China behind the scenes. Best of luck.

Hi Travellers,it was lovely to speak to you today but I think I might disown you James & adopt a vegetarian (how about it Gem) the pictures of the great wall look amazing Apparently there's been a lot of snow in Morgins so we are thinking of a quick trip do you fancy coming home for a week? We asked Ange if she would like to go & she said she would have to buy some new skis so Sarah could use her's. We had all the kids here for an egg hunt today, it was manic. Hope all goes well when you are on the bikes & you don't get saddle sore Love to you both from us all here

Probably not going until sometime in August now Gem...that will give me a chance to rake in some lovely birthday dollar.
Lynne and the girls are fine, we went to the match last week and saw Wales win the Grand Slam, AWESOME!!!
Got the girls faces painted (for free of course) and Medi dressed like a Welsh lady, sooo cute. She turned loads of heads in Cardiff, people just going "aaawwww look at that little angel"...if only they knew aye?
Why wont you try out a dog restaraunt...Labrador Noodles or Collie Chow Mein.
I was out walking Bute the other day and saw a male dog with his head between his hind legs licking himself, I said to his owner "I wish I could do that.", to which he replied "give him a biscuit and he might let you"
Catch you soon Kid, be safe XXX
Gemma
Hello mother
Yeah i chickened out of the walk to watch the sunrise on the great wall. I did get up but stayed at the hostel by the lake. The great wall was amazing though. We are getting another overnight train tonight to Shanghai so i have my ear plugs at the ready! after Shanghai we have another overnight train to Yangshou which is 23 hours!!!!
Glad all is ok at home. I have to say i do miss tea and biscuits! I tried some water lilly roots the other day...they were really nice. Tasted like crisps. But apart from that i havnt eaten anything too strange. BUt the food is lovely out here, so many nice flavours. My new favourite food is Egg palnt, or aubergine as we call it.
Hello to all at home. Will try and call soon. x

Hi Wounded Knee
When I read that name I didn't know if it was you or Bobbette!! I'm sure you would love it out here.
At first glance the cities seem very similar but then you realise how differently they do things. Nearly all the bricks you see being carted around are on the back of tri-cyles and they mix all the cement by hand! How weird is that!
Most of the showers we have had have been flat floor though so not sure you will be able expand the business to China!
Keep up the exercises and you'll be skiing in no time - maybe on a ski bike instead though. Get Paul to do the wood for you - i'm sure he has already offered! haha
