This is our 2nd day on our trip to Willits, California. We stayed at a little truck stop hotel, the Travelodge, just because it was right beside where we had dinner at the truckersworld restaurant stop. By the way the restaurant is well done, service and food were both great. But this is what I wanted to let you know, That at the hotel we met Michelle, a breast cancer survivor, a fighter and beautiful woman and spirit, her fight is a testimony and tribute to all those who have fought a good fight. We always cross paths with wonderful people, I think is very unique, in this breast cancer awareness month, to meet one victim that actually championed the cancer! meeting people like this add much more meaning to this road trip for us, we prayed together after Vinny felt the need to do so, that was way after we were in our room, so off we went to meet her again to pray, so right after we just kept chatting about her life, we got to know about her brother who committed suicide just after he called her one night asking her to join him for a drink, which she refused while asking him to go to bed, apparently he was drinking a lot then, we got to talk a lot about this also. Vinny shared his testimony with her too. She said she felt blessed to meet us, we got out of Her some level of those thoughts of guiltiness, Regarding that episode in her life, I believed. Here is a road trip tip: engage and speak with people along the way, literally :) you never know how or when God can use you for his will.
