In the morning Tom takes us to the War memorial and we think we'll have a look around but when we get there we realise there's a massive war museaum attached to it. We decide to hang around for a bit and join a tour so we can learn some stuff but the tour giude goes too fast for Mattie (who likes to take a loooong time in museums) and we can't really understand him so we split off and learn all there is to know about Australia's involvement in numerous wars, once again this museum is awsome and has some really cool video, light and sound shows!!
We get some lunch at the museum which is also very good and then we wonder around the modern war secion, Matt has writtenin the diary that WE spent a lot of time here but really HE did and then makes a joke about his reading age. We spend a lot longer here than planned so instead of going somewhere else in the afternoon we just stop by Lake Burley Griffin for a bit and see the Cockatoos, Flaming Galahs and Black Swans before we head back home.

This morning we go to Questacon which is like a science museum but with loads of cool interactive stuff, it's probably aimed at kids really and there are loads of school visiting here but we still enjoy it, Mattie especially, the big kid!!! Naturally it takes him twice as long to get round as it does for me and Tom. When we're done we have some lunch and then take a walk to the portrait gallery but only have a quick peek before we go back to the glassworks to see some people working. It's really cool, we're not 100% sure what they're all making except a girl who is making glass leaves and she is cutting the glass with scissors.
We are all thoroughly knackered after the day and head back home for some rest and dinner!

Today we don't do anything, Mattie and I venture into Queanbeyan town centre and go to the supermarket so we can cook dinner and say a kind of thank you. In the afternoon we watch a movie with Erin and then cook and have a relaxing evening before our big long journey to Bourke tomorrow!!
