I had planned on staying two nights in Kodaikanal and then head back to Munnar to see more of it than just the passing views I had seen, but then I discovered that there were buses directly to Kochi, so I decided to stay one more night and skip going back to Munnar and heading directly to Kochi instead.
It was pretty cold up there in the mountains, especially at night, but I didn't mind too much. Both Maxi and Nat got a cold, but I kept healthy and quite enjoyed the cooler air.
We went trekking one day. It was really misty and we were pretty much walking up in the clouds, so we didn't see much of the views, but the mist gave the place a mystical and beautiful feeling.
The day after we had a lazy Sunday and spent most of the day watching movies. When we eventually went out for some food we saw a big parade walking past. It was some kind of Christian festival, but Indian style. They were dancing, smiling and beating their drums with blurred hands, all with the colourful beauty of India.
We went to the bus station to get our tickets for the next day and guess who walks straight towards me? It was my friend Leon, who I was hanging out with in Goa. We had both been in the same place for several days without knowing and I saw him just before he got on his bus to go back to Goa. Crazy small world when things like this happen!
The last day in Kodaikanal we went for a little walk halfway down to the valley. It started raining on our way back and it felt like the right time to leave the mountains for some warmth again.
So we packed our bags and were off again!
