We got to Lima eventually! Arrived to an airport full of stares.The centre seems really poor and scruffy. We are not however staying in the centre we are in miraflores. In the light of day things seem very different. No poverty in sight security on every corner and wierd huge casinos and one of the poshest shopping centres ive seen. We are tired and have only one day before the tour so after a cheese lasangne what to do..... Well paragliding of course really cool...

I have to say I wasnt that overly impressed with Buenos at first ugly noisy and the smog.. but. we stayed in a suburb out of the center amply named Palermo Hollywood. Leafy streets with beautiful old apt blocks and corner cafes. Much more quiet too. I have even said I could see myself here in one of those apts.. After a very long 14hr coach journey in the poshest coach I have ever been in (it even had an hostess) Buenos Aries is the city that never sleeps, however I did a fair ammount after that trip.It is huge and very built up, the roads are 8 lanes wide.I love the tall old apartment blocks with balconies overlooking the street .Despite its size it still feels fairly safe no problems so far.One problem is the ammount of bloody loud americans here they are all over.
