Hello all, well here we are, Jay got to his hotel and back to meet me at the airport on time and we got to Pune quickly. In CST train station Mumbai we saw the bullet holes from the terror attack which was very strange, but at least the blood was gone. The trains here are lovely, people selling food and drink passing through and a comforting rhythm. We stayed in the National hotel, where I stayed 5 years ago and 15 years ago! They didn't remember me though.

Yesterday we went to Matheran, a tiny hill station between here and Mumbai where no motor vehicles are allowed and transport is only via foot, horse or person drawn cart, they haven't yet put the horse and cart together! The LP says that Matheran was found by Englishman Hugh Malet, or according to the tourism brochure "Huge Mallet"!

We are now waiting for our overnight train to Goa where we plan to relax and enjoy ourselves. I shall add photos etc when I can, this pc is enclosed so no USB unfortunately. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the British weather!
