Arrived 7am, booked flight to Kathmandu for Wednesday, met up with Sebastian and Margaret (previously met at Hua Shan and again at Emei Shan). Said bye to Pascal (headed to Beijing).

Hired mountain bikes and rode Napa Lake (3hrs at 3,200m), night bus back to Kunming (left 4pm arrived 7am)
Shangri-La, China
Very cold morning wake up, bus to Ganden Sumtseling Gompa (Y150 entrance fee! No way!) beautiful sunny and hot day, walked town and surrounding hills, temple, 100 chicken temple, turning wheel, researched possible overland travel to Tibet (not possible), Yak Burgers & Yak Butter Tea dinner. Said bye to Iris, Alex and Celia.
Kaiwen, China
Bad morning wakeup at Midway guesthouse as a result of drinks from Korean travelers the night before, trekked to Tina's guesthouse and down gorge to Tiger Leaping Rock, said bye to Oliver, bus to Shangrila.
Qiaotou, China
8am minibus from Lijiang to Quiatou with Pascal. Met Celia (France), Oliver (Germany) and Iris & Alex (Swiss). Dropped bags at Janes Guesthouse, trekked to midway guesthouse. Stunning day, 26 degrees and clear skies. Beers on balcony overlooking 4km high gorge.
