Got up early to leave for our 6 hour road trip from Lithgow to Tamworth. Heading to Tamworth just to see this 'Golden Guitar' and to see what all the fuss is. Today we have decided to have an easier day as we have been flat out for days now. So we got up and headed into Lithgow to check out the 'Lithgow Blast Furnace' ruins. It is the building of the one of the first blast furnaces in Australia, opened in 1907. It produced steel and iron. The ruins were amazing, so statuesque and told a story by themselves. Had a great night sleep except for Boo needing to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, saw some kangaroo's on our walk to the toilet though. Arrived at Lithgow, a town in the Blue Mountains, around 1pm which was great as we were only on the road for about 3 hours. We went to our camp site at Lake Lyall, about 10 mins out of Lithgow. This camp site is cheap at $20/night for a powered site and we were situated with lake views.
