Detour to the airport to pick up late arrivals then drove to Fort William through Rannoch More and Glencoe, spectacular and raw scenery, clouds too low to see Ben Nevis. After lunch at Spean Mill, onto Loch Ness on a great monster hunt. Slept in til 8am!!! yah finally. Walked into town to do some shopping and then got taxi to suburbs to do washing at a laundrette. Back to hotel in arvo to do something we hadn't done in a month - watch a movie - it was great. Met the new group for drinks and dinner, OMG what have we got ourselves into?! We are the babies by 20 years. Two things we forgot obviously, our hearing aids and zimmer frame - lol.

Travelling Day, made our own way to airport via Vienna Metro. 4 hr stop over in Heathrow, had first familar food for ages - it was great, F & C with mushy peas and roast beef and yorkshire pud - very english! Got to Glasgow at tea time and visited Fabbie and Beattie in Pollock, left at 10.30, was good to catch up.

Went to Schonbrunn again via a very clean and efficient Metro system. Had a tour of stunning gardens on the mini "train of shame" - was quickest way to do it. Went to Strudel show had taster. Then into town and met Paul and Fiona, Went to Demel (lovely cake shop) and visited real flash underground toilets. Then out to Prata - oldest amusement park in the world, very noisy and busy.

Left Salzburg at 9.30 short drive to Mondsee, a traditional Austrian village. Went to church where Maria Von Trapp got married (sound of music). Walked to lake and hired electric boat and had 30min cruise, beautiful area. Drove to Vienna, on way had short stop at Schonbrunn Palace for a peek on way to hotel.
