G'day Mates! Alas we've made it to our new long term new home – Sydney! Arrived to a somewhat colder climate (even its though its supposed to be their summer!?) and to a few hiccups thanks to STA! The hostel didnt have us booked in, even though we did it in August and we had to spend our first night in same sex dorms – apart! Of course we kicked up a fuss, and got a free night out of it which is good as its a lot more expensive here! Apart from that Sydney is cool...it's more oldey-worldy than we thought, especially considering its only 200 (ish) years old! Its great to be in a city and so near the beaches/harbours. We've been exploring a lot by foot...and already it feels like home.

Needless to say, as we planning to make this our base for a while – it's been none stop since arrival! Tax numbers, opening up bank accounts, joining their health system etc...etc. But we've tackled it like the true heros we are. We've even managed to find a flat near the centre in a place called Chippendale - random! Nice area though and a good local pub opposite that attracts a young crowd! So glad we've somewhere, as living in hostels - sharing rooms has become abit tiresome! It's like going back to halls of residence, if not worse! Definately too old for this game! 24 hr drinking, pot smoking, lack of hygiene and generally dirty pigs who cant clean up after themselves... for example, last night we were interupted from writing this entry by catching out of the corner of our eyes a pissed up "kraut" (one of our roomie's) thinking the carpet outside our room was the new toilet...yep deffinately too old for this game...Mark then demanded we moved room before he pissed over our bags! Thankfully they moved us to a new room which we have all to ourselves...ah normality at last! But that wasn't before he decided to spit blood everywhere as we were collecting our stuff! The pig...arghhhhhhhhh! He's supposed to be getting kicked out but its 5pm the next day and he's still here - no doubt there will be more fun and games tonight! Still we move into our new flat in 3 days...cant wait! God we do sound old dont we???? Perhaps we'll play them at their own game on our last night and piss all over there beds in a drunk fuelled rage!!

All there's left to do now is find a job, Marks doing a health and safety course tomorrow so he can apply for labouring/construction work and Alaine's hunting for admin jobs and maybe christmas shop work! We're even looking into become posties! (Thats another thing we've noticed all the auss"ies" put bloody "ies" on everything...ie: do you want some drink-ies, or perhaps you want a smok-ie...its very weird!!? we are like....no-ies, piss off-ies and speak proper you twat-ies!!?) Anyway joking aside, we're settling in nicely and looking forward to xmas in our little flat-ie! Will not be updating this as regular as obviously we are staying in the one place now!
