It's Bali Baby!
So, I have arrived to tropical paradise. Palm trees, sun, surf, shopping, culture and much more. I'm right at home here. I have so far discovered few temples and religious sites here and shopping of course. I have already gone bit crazy at the surf stores, which was expected. They are just everywhere here. The culture can still be seen here so vividly. Yet again, I'm not staying in Kuta, which is the touristiest place on the island. We are staying in Saminyak, which is along the same beach, but bit quieter still. The villa that we are staying in is just amazing (check the photo album). It will certainly be difficult to return to the normal life after this experience. And I'm staying in this villa with only another person from our group.
I would love to travel to see bit more of the Indonesian islands, but that has to happen in the future. I don't have the time or the budget to do it now. I guess there will be enough to see in Bali for a month as well. As I can relax in our private garden and pool, there will be no worries for stress.
Anyways the projects are starting to be bit too much at the moment. It's just the thought of the project all the time in the back of my mind. It's also repetition to the last two destinations, which is getting annoying. The meeting with the teachers, with their criticism could be done already. Even though I'm getting very fed up with the studying, I have started to think about maybe continuing my studies in Melbourne. I was wondering of doing a teaching degree. Well, will see how it goes and how much motivation I have left after the Master thesis.
I really like it so far here and I think I will be back one day to discover even more.
Sunshine and waves,
Marika
