Been out here just over a week now, and in this time I have already travelled Cairo to Aswan (12 hours on an overnight train) and Aswan to Luxor (3 days on a mozzie ridden felucca/sail boat journey). Well I have arrived safe and well in Egypt, flights went really smoothly and I had a taxi waiting for me when I arrived at Cairo airport all as planned, thought my luck was up however when the cars started playing dodgem with each other and was well pleased with my decision to sit in the backseat, away from possible catastrophy.
