From the islands we went to the Cameron Highlands which were a bit of a shock to the system, they were cold!!! We spent a couple few days there doing some trekking and enjoying the tea and scones!! it was quite a sleepy little place so not much to do other than eat and trek!

Me and Matt did a pretty hard trek one day, we had to use tree roots to climb up the steep hill and ended up covered in mud. At first I thought why have we out ourselves through this but by the end when I was head to toe in mud and we had finally made it to the top I thought it was fun! Due to the bad weather, when we got to the top the view wasn't too good unfortunately. The worst part was getting down, we could either go back the way we came, which would have been very steep and slippery, or go along the road which was a 12km walk back to our guest house. We decided to go the long way but it felt like we were walking forever. We managed to hitch a ride for a couple of kilometres but it took us a long time to get home. We stop off on the way at the butterfly and insect farm, I was even brave enough to look at a tarantula in a tank! We also stopped at the strawberry farm for scones with home made jam.
