What can I say. Just another city. No river, no ocean, no beach...no much to keep my attention although the theater was pretty cool...now for the mad dash to get back to the hostel in Matera...

Otranto, Italy
This side of the peninsual is awesome. Very different from the west side. Amazing twisting road that was perfectly paved. And believe it or not that is hard to come by in Italy. Some of the roads are horrible!
S. Santa Maria Di Leuca, Italy
The farthest southeast you can go in Italy. I had a great lunch here sitting under the lighthouse watching a ship pass by. Pretty amazing to have covered all the ground I have. Now I will be heading back up the peninsual!
Gallipoli, Italy
Again another neat town. What is even more intersting was the drive from Taranto to Gallipoli. All the little sand dune beach towns where completely deserted. It was like a ghost town. I was literally the only thing moving. Very strange to ride through but a nice ride along the sea.
Taranto, Italy
This is a great little working city. Not much of a town to visit and see things but one you would not be unhappy living in that is for sure. Very industrial, but still check out all the plam tree lined streets etc. This was a nice place to browse through.
