Our Travels
Arrived at our hotel... Very nice. unpacked and had a quick drink at the bar and went straight to bed! very tired..
Got up and just made it for breakfast the next day which was all included in the price. Then took a stroll and found the beach which we walked along for about 4km's.. The beach is nice but not as nice as Koh Pha-Ngan or Thailand in general. There's a reef about 1 mile out where the waves break - looks just like on shipwrecked!
After about 4 hours we came back and lounged around by the pool, too hot to sunbathe tho, and we still haven't got much of a tan!
Later that evening we went to a Lovely Italian restaurant where we had some gorgeous pasta and it was really cheap! actually cheaper than Thailand.. It's the accomodation that isn't. There's not many hostels and Budget places to stay (it's more of a package holiday place to stay for older people! some of the beach side hotels are stupidly amazing!)
After we found a really nice bar/restaurant called Double Dutch (which we later found out te Balinese can't actually say.. They say Double Duck!) There was a really good Balinese live band playing and during we met an English middle aged man and his Balinese girlfriend! Actually changed our opinion of the image of English men with Thai women in Thailand.. They seemed really hapopy and made each other laugh so much, bin together 3years. Still wierd tho. We stayed till about 1am then back to the room.
We woke up just in time for breakfast again and rented bikes for the day! Wahoo! we cycled to this market and the Hardy's store which is a little like Ranjami's - it sold everything! We rode along the beach front all day and got back about 4pm.
Tomoro we have booked a trip to the North of Bali to see Hot Springs, Waterfalls, Volcano, rice fields, and a few towns along the way.. we're touring all day so it should be fun!
