Headed off to Sorrento today, on the way we visited Pompeii. Incredible place, walking cobblestone streets and pathways, past houses and shops, remarkably well preserved for a city destroyed by a volcano. Vienna. No optional excursions for us so looking forward to evenings and afternoons to ourselves. Visited the old town. St Stephens carthedral, the opera house and Hoffman palace home to the Spanish riding school. Unfortunately the tickets were sold out for the shows but we did get to see some of the beautiful Stallions after a show. Off to Zagreb today

After saying good bye to Lucern, we travelled to Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Cute little principality. Royal family still inhabit the castle. Mal found locally brewed beer, then headed to Innsbruck. Ahhh Switzerland! What a picturesque country. Blue skies, temps in the 30's. If only they had air conditioning. They don't usually have temps this high apparently. Amazing university town of Heidelberg! Lovely walking tour with views of the castle. Off to the Black Forrest where we had Black Forrest Cake (got to bring the recipe home). We were entertained by the biggest cuckoo clock we have ever seen as well as many hand carved ones that are produced by the local clock maker. Then onto Luzern.
