It's been a long while since our last blog as we've been pretty busy since our last update in Auckland. We flew out of Auckland for Melbourne on Tuesday on a flight which took about 4 hours. After leaving Taupo, we spent a night in Auckland before we were headed to Paihia which is in the Bay of Islands in the north of New Zealand. We made the journey from Kaikoura to Wellington on Saturday. On the way from Kaikoura to the ferry terminal, we stopped at a bit of a seal colony not far from Kaikoura. We managed to see quite a few seals including some baby seals which were just playing on the rocks whilst the sea crashed all around them. We left Christchurch at around 7.30am on Thursday morning headed for Kaikoura. The journey was only around 4 hours so we were in Kaikoura by about 12 o clock. On the way, I managed to spot some seals chilling out on the rocks but Beth was asleep as per usual so she missed it.
