Well yesterday we stopped at Waitomo so people could visit the different caves and do climbing and absailing in them. It was quite expensive so I decided to just do the free option which was going for a walk through the rainforest and countryside, it was so beautiful. So we arrived in raglan yesterday. Raglan is a surf town on the west coast of the north island, which seems to be very chilled like most surf towns. We stayed in a hostel that is in the rainforest, all covered by trees and very Eco friendly. We went surfing as soon as we went in. Clare got a body board and I got a surf board. It was cool but I couldn't paddle past the break because the waves were pretty strong, big and constant. The good thing is I haven't forgot...

So we arrived in Auckland, new Zealand on 20th of October. We stayed in a hostel our first night but for the few nights after stayed with friends. We got to meet up with Emma, our friend from Darwin, as she is living here now. She is also coming to join us travelling in the south island. So we arrived in Hervey bay last night and spent most of the time trying to figure out the town, there is no main tourist street. We eventually got a camp site and decided to go out. So after leaving Airlie is was a bit too far of a distance to drive the whole way so we just parked up at a truckers stop at a service station to sleep and then reached Agnes Water and 1770 yesterday. We just chilled out again last night and today we went to the beach really early to swim and sunbathe.
