Day 18
I had a lie in that morning whilst some others went swimming at 6.30, after their swim we drove down to a place called Shoal Bay, and after a night in a shipping container, a bit of luxury in a 4 and a half star, whatever that is hotel! with a gym and pool which was well used before dinner! we then had a bbq where you cooked your own food and watched the cricket, played pool and stayed in the bar, our last night on the tour.
Day 19 Shoal Bay-Sydney
Up in the morning and sand boarding time..we did a little 4x4 sand dune drive and then sand boarding..it was raining but stopped just intime. you basically sit on a snowboard and go pretty quick down some very steep sand dunes! scary the first time you go down but really good fun but tough walking back up. we did that for a while then went to drive back to meet the rest of the tour. on the way back he was pointing out area of the beach you shouldnt drive on and quick sand. he was following another car and telling us how he had never been stuck in the sand. Angus the driver in front however trying to be clever went over some quick sand and his car got completly buried. our driver not thinking did the same and also got stuck much to our amusement! the pictures are very funny. so we all had to get out and wait for the 'A-team' and all their mates to come and tow us out! half of them just came to laugh..the wole thing was very funny, the driver was devasteted. and got alot of abuse from the others who worked for him.
after that we jumed on the bus for the last time and headed for Sydney..we farc'd our seats for the last time (footrests, armrests, recline and curtains) and jumped off at Mrs mcquaries point to have a group picture infront of the Habour Bridge and Opera house. we said our goodbyes and had loads of pictures but pretty much saw everyone on a night out that night.
