Just a quick update on what i've been up to and am about to embark on in the next month!! Went to the Golden Palace today followed by a window shop around MBK shopping centre and then onto Siam square. We had a death defying ride on a tuk tuk and quite a few relaxing air conditioned rides in taxis!! It's soo hot over here. Lovely though. We are staying on Khao San road which is full of shops bars and restaurants etc. Very busy and fun. Today we went to the Golden Palace, MKB shopping centre and Siam Square. Then we went to a Tourist Info place and they helped us book a trip leaving tomorrow 1st stop Floating markets, then bridge at River Kwai, then the Tiger temple. We are then getting the overnight train to Phuket. Whilst there we are going to P P, Krabi, Koh Pha Ngan and Ko Samui. Then getting the train back up to Bangkok before travelling to North Thailand and Chang Mai. At Chang Mai we have booked a three day jungle trek which involves riding elephants and camping out for two nights whilst ascending mountains. We will then venture on to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia before flying onto to Kuala Lumpa. We have paid for all our accomodation, travel and breakfast already for the Thai section and paid for the travel to Laos and flight to Kuala Lumpa already too. Oh and we've paid for our visa to Vietnam. The whole trip (minus travelling around Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia) is cos 430 pounds which we thought was pretty good. Atleast for the next month all we have to pay for now is lunch/dinner and anything else we might want to buy. I'm really excited about travelling down to South Thailaind. Apparently it'll save us quite a bit of money to go now as prices are over double if we went as planned in December.
