So I was meant to be hot air ballooning this morning but I managed to sleep through my 3:30 alarm.. I rang to rearrange it for Friday and was told I'd have to pay 50aud which is understandable, then I got a call back saying it was cancelled anyway due to high winds so I don't have to pay anything and I got my sleep! Me and my German roomie Lisa went shopping and for an Italian with a view of the beach, then we went to The Lagoon and sunbathed and swam for a bit which was lovely. We were walking and went past Salt House which I'd seen on google so we went in and the bartender was from Manchester and we got talking to him so we got 10% off our amaretto cocktails which was a bonus! Found a McDonald's but my mayo burger with no mayo didn't taste the same here.. Went back to the hostel and met a new German girl and we all went to have a souvenir shop then to Woolworths (big food shop here!) and got salad ingredients and cooked tea. Tried my first ever Tim Tam and it was very nice! Heading out tonight to the bar and club downstairs!
