10/12/08 After a morning in Darwin, where we caught up with emails and stocked up on supplies (and I got a sports t-shirt to replace the one that got 'lost' in Bangkok), off we drove to Kakadu! 6/12/08 On our way at last! We stopped at the little township of Batchelor before we entered Litchfield, for fuel and drinks; it was a very green and agreeable place, the houses set very far apart from each other, and the 'town centre' consisted of a roadhouse/petrol station, a pub, a little tourist information centre (where we picked up a lot of leaflets about Litchfield and elsewhere in the Northern Territory), and some public toilets. 22/11/08 We spent today at Changi Airport, Singapore, waiting for our plane to Darwin. It's certainly the most impressive airport I've seen yet in terms of facilities! We ate lunch slowly, used the free internet at a coffee shop (having bought a coffee) for quite a long time, walked around and had some dinner (chicken noodles.) 18/11/08 Our journey down went okay. On arrival at lunchtime, we got a bus into the city centre, found an internet cafe and looked up places to stay. Eventually we found one and checked in; it was very nice actually for the price we were paying.
