Hey everybody!!! its time for ur monthly update!! u do realise that im gonna be testing u on this when i get back!! so u better be absorbing all the lovely things that i am telling u about!! hee hee!!!
So after i lft u last i went to noosa on a camping trip called gagaju bush camp. was a brilliantly amazing experience and i almost enjoyed camping!! (almost!!) although i did pay 5 dollars extra to upgrade to not sleep in a tent but to sleep in a bamboo made bed thing!! worth the money i tell ya!!
so this place had a real thai feel to it so naturally i quite liked it - hammocks, sinks cut out of trees, toilets with no roof on them and even a gym under a canopy!!! sooo cool!!
we spent our day times kayaking down the river big group of about 20 of us on the first day we left at 10am and got back at half 4!! we paddled the whole day apart from for an hour for lunch!! this was great had a really good group of people and we sang songs as we paddled down the river!! it was hard work and at times we got soaked!! it liked to rain quite a lot at tims while we were here!! lol.
the next day we had an easier trip only 3 hours kayaking and down stream so no big currents to go against was more fun with a smaller group too!! we spent the evenings sitting around the camp fire toasting marshmellows looking for cane toads and drinking goon (ozzie wine!!) lol. good times!! just got eaten alive by miosquitos!! not so great.
from here i got the bus down to brisbane where i met back up with some people who i met in cairns. they are living and working there now so kinda chilled for a bit and from here till the end of oz i didnt really ever feel like a backpacker again coz everyone i visited was living there!! lol. while in brisbane megan, vicky, fredericka and i went to the lagoon a man made sandy beach on south bank by the river it is really pretty! went salsa dancing in the street!! hee hee. and it was just nice to be in a city after sooo long of being in places where there havnt been shops!! lol. so naturally i took a trip to the shops and posted a big parcel of old clothes home to make room for the new ones!! hee hee
After this i went down to byron bay for a week, where i stayed with Jess from basketball. great to have my own room and a double bed! i absolutely fell in love with byron bay it reminded me of newquay but with sunshine too!! yey i realyl was in heaven!!
only oprob is that while i was there the surf was poo!! sooo annoying!! did make it out one day when it was on tho and omg i have never been sooo scared in my life the waves were massive!! i borrowed jess's little board and it scared me!! never felt currents liek that!! just spent lots of time here ith the grils chillin on the beach treking up th hill to the lighthouse and dancing on tables in cheeky monkeys bar at night time. didnt see much of jess coz she was always working but spent a lot of time with the girls. from here i skipped about between surfers paradise and brisbane a bit trying to meet up with different groups of people i had met on the way down. went to wet and wild them park whish was great fun lots of big water slides!!
climbed tjhe storey bridge in brisbane 89foot above the river at night in the middle of a thunder storm!! was fun!! lol. had a moonlight picnic where i discovered crackers and cheese and wine are an awesome combination!!! um what else.... been to the cinema to watch valentines day twice and went bowling. even managed to find a basketball court to play some 1 on 1. have had a really nice last 3 weeks chilling out living like im on holiday and not skimping and saving!!! unfortunatly tho that has killed my budget and so now im in new zealand and have a strict budget for the rest of my trip!!! back to the backpacker way of life - pot noodles and cheap alcohol. none of that sparkling wine and posh dinners!! lol.
i also had 1 night in sydney again before i flew out where we had one massive night out! was crazy and awesome in ide bar - wake up hostel. live band were really good and randomly bumped into like 15 poeple who we had met coming down teh coast so it was a great night. even arranged to meet stuart luffman a friend from home. had a few drinks with him too!! great times.
now im in christchurch and im moving onto kaikora tomorro where im hoping to swim with dolphins!!! yey!!
anyway id better love u and leave u. can u believe i will actually be home in about 6/7 weeks!!! cant eblivee how fast its goin.
