KO CHANG 15TH OCTOBER 2006We caught a 9am ferry from Ban Phe, Ko Samet back to the main land then 3hours in a minibus to get to Laem Ngop, the an 8km on a ferry to Tha Dan Kao, on Ko Chang. Ferries dock at the nothern end of the island and all but a handfull of hotels and resturants are on the west coast, where most of the beaches are. Hat Sai Khao, White sands beach, is the busiest developement and where we thought we would head to find some cheap accomidation.K...

SOUTHEASTERN THAILANDKO SAMET 11TH - 15TH OCTOBER 2006We got up nice and early on th 11th to catch the 8am bus to Na Dam, where we caught the 2pm ferry to Ban Phe, on Ko Samet. Ko Samet is a T-shaped island with most of the beaches and developements located on the eastern shore, ther are only a hand full of up-market hotels on the west coast. BANGKOK 9TH - 11TH OCTOBER 2006Ouch! did our arses ache after that plane flight! After a stop over in Doho, we arrived 14hours after leaving heathrow into Bangkok airport. About noon, local time. We caught a bus from the airport to Khoa San Road after refusing to get in a douzen taxis as taxis are about 10 times the cost.
