Woke up from a very nice sleep in our upmarketish hotel. We had breakfast at the hotel buffet and it was rated as one of the best buffets we had ever had. It had everything you could think of and even all you can eat ice cream so Callum was happy to taste all the ice cream flavours.
After breakfast, Maya and I left for Niseko early to organise the equipment rental for the following day. On the way to the station we stumbled across another fish market and met a bloke selling crabs weighing over 3kg! They were extremely big crabs!!
We caught two trains for the day and the sights were very pretty driving through snow covered mountains ranges and we even travelled alongside the ocean for a short time.
Cal, Ash, Lou and Blake caught a later train and spent the morning visiting the Yunokawa Onsen to watch the monkeys bathe followed by a walk through the botanical garden next door. After wandering through the red brick warehouse area and having some lunch they were on their way.
Once we arrived in Niseko village we organised our equipment rental, our lift passes, did some washing and settled in to watch the days sumos matches.
Blake and Lou went to a fun Teppinyaki/Okonomiyaki restaurant and cooked their own dinner while the rest of us checked out the food vans over the road. A few drinks at the pub next door and then off to bed. In summary, just another travel day. But excited for the snowboarding to come!
