Bill and I had negotiated a slightly later departure time this morning as we are only going to drive 500ish km, and also we will be crossing into the Mountain time zone our day will end one hour earlier. I awoke at 0516, earlier than needed and because I am now blogging the same day I was able to set an alarm for 0630 and catch another hour of sleep. It is Friday night in Iola, KS and this town didn't know what hit them when Bill and I roared into town! We departed DT STL at 0800 sharp. When we were out walking yesterday we noted the entrance to the Interstate was just 100' away from the front door of our hotel. Today is a non riding day, the bikes stay in the parkade and we'll be cabbing and walking around. Bill and I negotiated a very reasonable 1000 lobby call so the morning was quite relaxed.
