Lazy start to the day! Only a short distance to travel onto Montevideo and an amazing hostel right on the main plaza with the Lonely Planet recommended bars only a staggering distance away...........

So that evening we checked out the Irish bar ! Of course !! And the bar next to it and the bar across the road - well it was a shame to miss that one out, 2 for 1 offer especially ! Then back to the Irish bar ........

We were going to call it a day.........then we met up with some other travellers !

Mmm! You can guess what happened next !!!!

The next morning was not good. Early check out in hostels doesn't help if you've been out drinking the night, or should I say that morning!

But still we had to push on!

Uruguay is a relatively large country but everything is on the coast, relatively short days are sometimes in order. The plan was to head towards the Brazilian border and stay in Punta del Diablo the night. But hangovers took hold and we decided to call it quites after a couple of hours and scoured the local area near Punta del Este for a cheap hotel!

Last bed in town was ours in Montanaldo..........and slightly less drinking!
