Constructed as a bicentennial project in Glen Innes, the 40 granite monoliths, 3.7 meters high are based on similar representations constructed by ancient Celts in Britain, Britanny, coastal France. There is a circle of 24 Stones representing the 24 hours of the day, 3 central stones, 4 marking true North, East, South and West and 7 for the summer and winter solstices.
