Not really too much out of the ordinary to say about münster. Arrived in Amsterdam about an hour ago and have been sitting on a stone floor ever since waiting to make my train reservation to Copenhagen. Writing helps kill the time a little I suppose. Münster was the second place in a row where I've had someone waiting for me at the platform. Must say it's pretty nice after getting used to scrambling my way to a hostel right off the train. Max is an old friend from Brazil just like Alexa from Switzerland. First night there he really wanted to do things right. We met up with a few of his friends and bought a case of terrible beer for 6 euro. Felt like I was back at Penn state except terrible beer here is still on par with normal beer in the states. After a while we did the bar and club scene and had a good time till around five am. All good and cheery until this point when we had an hour long bike ride home facing us. As I have come further north I've been realizing that bike usage has steadily been on the rise as well. Perhaps because the temperatures are more appropriate...your guess is as good as mine. There was even a huge parking deck filled with thousands of bikes in the city center. Amsterdam is the capital of bicycles so I'm probably yet to see the best of it. Slept in late the next day for once and I was feeling especially great after a cup of coffee. The next couple of days were pretty similar to that minus the club and plus a haircut. Max's mother was a rotary exchange student hosting vet and I really felt right at home. Think she got the impression that I would let the German beer get the best of me and was kind enough to turn on the lamp and close the blinds in my room for when we got back at night. She also took care of my laundry. Simple things count the most when life has lacked a lot of them for a while. Ok my tiket is just about up. Oh! We also saw a Picasso print museum and i've decided he's got the best pieces I've seen.

Mom I like Picasso...how great that you got to see them there. So good that you were able to relax at their home and enjoy some real rest before you head out to finish your trip. A big thanks to Max and his mom...how sweet of her, and even the laundry, really sweet!
