Hey Gang,

Arrived in Krabi on Thursday afternoon. Hotel is really nice, big room, and close to beach & shops. Our first evening we just chilled out and took a walk around the town. The next day we hit the beach for a few hours. The beach is shelly, and the waters quite murky, but as you look out to sea, and to one side there are limestone cliffs jutting out of the water!! We booked ourselves onto the afternoon Thai Cooking Class. There were only 4 of us doing it, so we got lots of attention!! The other couple were from Australia, and they were on their honeymoon….ahhhhh!! We got to cook 7 things, and we had a choice of 3 from each course. Lois chose: Spring Rolls, Chicken & coconut soup, Pad Thai noodles, chicken & basil salad, green curry paste, veg green curry, and banana in coconut milk.
Lee chose: Banana Spring Rolls, Chicken & coconut soup, stir fry chicken & cashew nut, papaya salad, paenang curry paste, paenang curry, and sticky rice with mango.
We ate as we went along, otherwise trying to eat 6 courses all at once would have been a challenge (for me anyway, lol) it was a challenge anyway, was probably the most we’ve eaten since we’ve been away! All the food was delicious!! Tasted soooo good!! Shame I couldn’t fit it all in!! We’ll definitely be cooking for everyone when we get back…yummy!! We got to take home a recipe book with everything we cooked, and all other options that were available, so no excuses not to cook when we get home!! The next few days we spent going down to the beach, and browsing the markets, & drinking some cheap cocktails!! Yesterday we headed to Railay Beach! A short taxi boat ride from Ao Nang beach (where were staying) more limestone hills, white sand and clear water!! We took a walk to the Diamond Caves, where we got to walk inside one of the limestone caves, was a nice break from the sunshine! No actual diamonds found though :O(
We have just docked on Phi Phi island where we are staying for 4 nights, and we will be taking a day trip to Phi Phi Lay (where The Beach was filmed!!) Then onto Phuket…our last stop in Thailand, where we will hopefully be meeting up with our friends Matt & Jemma!! Not long to go now…….Bubye xxxx

PS… We have just found out it is St. Patricks Day… heading to the Irish Pub NOW!
