I forgot the whole point of calling the entry "roaming the streets." many of the pics associated with today have no significant meaning; they are just things I saw as I walked.

I was out the door by 8:15am this morning; a rarity for a non-travel day. However, I was determined to see Notre Dame before the hoards showed up at 10am. It worked. When I arrived about 8:45 there were people milling around, but not a lot and they were a mellow group. For the two days in Meuse, none of the house pictures have any meaning; I just thought you'd like to see what houses look like. All the churches are from the ancestor's villages. some of the cemetery pics are tombstones of family names (if they are zoomed in on the writing) others are just to show you what the cemeteries are like. I don't know if all the flowers are because of All Saints Day (or Armistice Day) or if they are always like that.

This picture is of the building that holds Napolean's tomb. London vs Paris....two very different cities. In last week's Sunday London Times there was an article about comparing the two cities. Ok, the picture has nothing to do with groceries. People love their pigeons...I have seen more than one person let these filthy critters on them. Mom asked about produce stands. In 'my' neighborhood there are grocery storys (maybe 2-3 aisles long) with some produce, but there are also open air produce stands. i went through one yesterday, and the produce looked good.
