We had a surprisingly good dinner at the airport. Today was our 16th wedding anniversary. We are lucky people -- all four of us.
I found a beautiful Hermes scarf for a mere 770 euros (cheaper than usual because it is duty free.). I restrained myself. Couldn't have bought it even if I'd wanted because the credit card didn't make it to the hotel.

I hated to board the plane for Germany. France was wonderful. Maybe we'll come back next year. . . at least I hope so. I really enjoyed speaking French for the first time in over 20 years. The girls, especially Jane, were really excited about the idea of speaking a foreign language. She is begging to go to Spain next year so that she can speak Spanish. Both girls also really want to live in Europe. Jane would like to learn at least two languages, Spanish plus something else. At the moment, she's thinking German. Either way, we've got two exchange students in the making.

And we are already talking about where to go next summer . . .
